Renold Australia is releasing it’s “New Generation Series” of Shaft Mounted Reducers designated the SMXtra. This series features higher power ratings over previous models for the same size frame and dimensions. Allied to increased power capacity, new upgrades ensure the units are more environmentally friendly and even easier to fit and configure than before.

A number of enhanced sealing options will be available to fit all standard units that can be installed so as to optimise protection from dust and moisture. Alternatively, by reversing one element of the standard design, the seal can provide additional security to prevent the egress of oil into sensitive environments. Both parallel and keyed taper bush mountings are available.

The SMXtra Gear Units are available in Single and Double Reduction Ratios up to 25:1 and due to the use of high tolerance heavy-duty roller bearings. a life of trouble free running and maximum load carrying capacity can be expected.
